POSITION AVAILABLE: Commercial Underwriter

Requirements:
– Matric
– Commercial COB within your 6 year DOFA or sufficient FAIS Credits to be deemed fully qualified.
– RE5 Regulatory Exam.
– 3 years Commercial and Personal Lines claims experience.
– Reliable Internet connection.

What we offer:
– Basic Salary
– 50% contribution to medical aid.
– Work from home most of the times (Gauteng area only and office days from time to time).

Duties / Responsibilities:
– Effectively capturing Commercial and Personal Lines info on our system.
– Rating of Risks (rating guide available).
– Interact with brokers on a daily basis.
– Provide suggestions for renewals on a monthly basis.
– Managing your time efficiently.
– Telephone etiquette and numerical skills.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Good analytical skills and an eye for detail.
– Technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
– Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
– Must have own reliable transport & own reliable internet connection.

(Gauteng Area)

Requirements:
– Matric

Duties / Responsibilities:
– Effectively capturing commercial and personal claims for both motor and non-motor claims.
– Appointing of Assessors / loss Adjusters.
– Evaluating and gathering all data for claim processes, preparing reports, regular follow up on claim status to ensure efficient settlement of all claims.
– Processing, and making settlement computations, authorising repairs and preparing agreements of loss.
– Effecting repudiations and preparing rejection letters.
– Initiating third party and recoveries.
– Handling payment allocations and ensure claims are paid timeously.
– Managing of outstanding claims and invoices.
– Developing, maintaining good relations with loss adjusters, claims handlers and brokers / clients.
– Telephone etiquette and numerical skills.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Good analytical skills and an eye for detail.
– Technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook).
