Just in: The final rate announcement for 2025.

According to the latest Lightstone Property Index, national year-on-year house price inflation is sitting at 4.5%.

Across the provinces, the Western Cape continues to outperform, with 7.6% inflation, far ahead of Gauteng (2.5%) and KwaZulu-Natal (3.4%).

Despite a tough rate environment, the property market remains resilient, especially in high-demand areas.
