Intern Recruitment Call

Title: Analyst Intern
Total Package: R 120,000 Per Annum CTC
Duration of Contract: 6 months (with option to extend to a maximum of 12 months)

The suitable candidate with an entrepreneurial flair must have a finance background with an interest in growing in the deal-making and venture capital space. It is required that the candidate has a fair understanding of various financial models and business valuation techniques.

Candidates with a critical thinking ability and a keen interest in developments in technology and the tech startup space will be favoured.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Screening and sorting all potential investments coming through the pipeline
• Assist in conducting due diligence on prospective new investments
• Gather performance metrics from portfolio companies and summarize them for the partnership
• Assist in search for new, interesting ventures and manage the pipeline
• Conduct sector research, which is basically a report of all players in a particular space or market (both established companies and new entrants)
• Assist in uploading of content to get the name of the VC into relevant public forums (could involve blogging or social media)
• Assist the partners/associates/principals/etc. with whatever needs to get done
• Compiling and editing deal administration documents
• Keeping abreast of trends and innovations within the VC and technology space

Required Skills and Experience:

1. Undergraduate financial degree
2. Candidates with no working experience will be considered

The position is only available in Johannesburg, Morningside Manor.
