Panel discussion is currently underway, moderated by Dr Phumzile Ncube, Senior Researcher at the University of Johannesburg.

Participating in the discussion are Mr Jabu Mphambo, Acting CEO at Land Bank; Prof Grany Mmatsatsi Senyolo, Agricultural Economist at Tshwane University of Technology; Mr Tshepo Dlamini, Finance Technical Team member at the African Farmers Association of South Africa (AFASA); Ms Jolanda Andrag, Chief Operating Officer at Agriculture South Africa (AgriSA) and Ms Sophy Litshani Musabeni, Managing Director of Vhegies (Pty) Ltd.

Land Bank is proud to host a Policy Dialogue under the theme “Driving Regional Integration in the Agricultural Sector,” bringing together key stakeholders to explore how collaboration, coordinated financing and stronger partnerships can unlock opportunities across regional agricultural value chains.

In his keynote address, Jabu Mphambo, Acting Chief Executive Officer at Land Bank, emphasised the importance of building a connected and resilient agricultural ecosystem across the region.

He highlighted Land Bank’s role in developing bankable agricultural projects that strengthen SADC value chains, while working alongside local and regional partners to develop innovative financial solutions that unlock investment and support the growth of Special Economic Zones.

The Production Revolving Facility (Production Loan) provides seasonal finance to help farmers fund production costs and maintain operations throughout the production cycle.

Designed specifically for agricultural businesses, the facility allows repayment when production income is received, helping farmers maintain operations throughout the farming cycle.
