I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Waynol Rehabilitation Centre and KTC Solutions for the exceptional support they provided in helping my son access the treatment he so desperately needed.
As the rehabilitation centre is located in Margate, I faced the significant challenge of getting my son there, particularly as he was unwilling to seek help voluntarily. During this difficult time, I was contacted by Andrea from Waynol Rehabilitation Centre, who explained that they work with a professional intervention team that could assist in safely transporting him to the facility. This came as a surprise to me, as I was unaware that rehabilitation centres offered such a service.
Andrea patiently explained the intervention process and reassured me that the team had been fully briefed on my son's situation and would handle it with the utmost care and professionalism. Despite her reassurance, I remained somewhat sceptical. The distance involved and the fact that I did not know the individuals arriving to assist understandably made me apprehensive. However, given the urgency of my son's circumstances and his increasing need for intervention, I agreed to proceed.
Zane and Kelly from KTC Solutions arrived promptly at our residence. I must admit that I initially felt somewhat intimidated by their appearance. However, any concerns I had quickly disappeared. They entered our home with a calm, friendly, and professional demeanour and engaged my son in a genuine conversation. Rather than immediately focusing on the intervention, they spoke to him about everyday interests, including his v**e, his preferred flavours, his free weights, and the activities he enjoys. When the rehabilitation centre in Margate was mentioned, my son became distressed and resistant. What impressed me most was the way Zane and Kelly handled the situation. They responded with remarkable patience, compassion, and professionalism. They listened to his concerns, reassured him, and treated him with dignity and respect throughout the conversation.
To my astonishment, within just 10 to 15 minutes, my son voluntarily packed a few belongings and informed me that he was going to spend some time in Margate with Zane and Kelly. I was truly amazed that they had earned his trust so quickly and effectively.
Shortly after they arrived safely at the centre, I received a phone call from my son, which gave me immense comfort and reassurance.
