Please take note of the following update regarding the First Home Finance Subsidy Programme:
β’ The NHFC online application portal closed on 20 March 2026 due to oversubscription.
β’ Applications submitted before this date remain valid and will be processed. Clients who applied on time should be reassured that their applications are still under review.
β’ The new cycle has not yet been announced. The NHFC will communicate the next application window once funding allocations and timelines are finalized.
New application windows for financial year 2026/27: Applications will be accepted during designated open periods, with dates published onγwww.firsthomefinance.co.zaγand NHFC platforms.

Guidance for Client Engagement
β’ Applicants before 20 March 2026: Confirm their applications are being processed and encourage patience due to high demand.
β’ Applicants after 20 March 2026: Advise them that the portal is closed and they must wait for the next cycle announcement.
β’ Clarify that the programme is active and funded, but oversubscribed.
