Covid19 times have made us look closer to burial Societies.
Life insurance companies have paid out hundreds of Millions in rands for death and funeral claims during this period.
Burial Societies on the other hand have No guarantees on funding.
The money available to pay funeral expenses when a family member passes away, depends on the funds that the burial society has saved up, and there is no guarantee
that the burial society will be able to pay the full amount as promised in its constitution. If there were more deaths than expected claims may be paid in part or not paid .
