Precious metals should you well over the long-term in this environment as it would indicate a much weaker dollar. In the near-term, I’m not sure how prices will react.

The stock market should also rise as the government prints and spends money, at the expense of the dollar.

The change to a united government could trigger a near-term correction as investors and corporations contemplate the potential for higher taxes.

Gold (currently $1932.20) is meeting resistance around $1960. Prices have rallied for about a month, and a short-term pullback is possible. Prices would have to close progressively below $1900 to threaten the current uptrend. Otherwise, a close above $1967 is needed to push the recent advance higher.
