If you have been meaning to sit down with them and the working week never leaves time, Wednesday gives you that chance, face to face.

Bring three things:
1. Your ID or passport
2. Your last 3 months of bank statements
3. Your bank card

The October draw ends on 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟯𝟭 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿, and a till slip left in your bag can't win anything. 🗳️

Friday and Saturday are all that's left. One slip with your name and number, dropped into the Daku Square competition box, puts you in the running for October's 𝗥𝟮,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗥 𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿.

Spend 𝗥𝟭𝟱𝟬 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 at any store in Daku Square and the till slip counts: the month-end groceries at SUPERSPAR Daku, something new from PEP, whatever was on your list anyway. Write your full name and a contact number on the back of the slip, then drop it into the box before you head home. 🧾

Saturday settles it. Every house in Kwazakhele has already picked a side. ⚽

You can read it from the road by now. A black and white flag out of one window, a gold jersey drying on the line next door. Two brothers who share a bedroom have stopped sharing opinions. Even the grandmother who never watches a match has told the whole family who she wants to win.

The funny part is that Pirates and Chiefs both wear black. That is where the agreement ends.

The 𝗦𝗼𝘄𝗲𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗲𝗿𝗯𝘆 is on 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟯𝟭 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿, Orlando Pirates against Kaizer Chiefs, and the arguments over the fence have until then to run.

As for 𝗗𝗮𝗸𝘂 𝗦𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗲 in Kwazakhele, Gqeberha, our official position is no comment. Black and white or black and gold, both sides queue at the same tills at SUPERSPAR Daku, and nobody gets asked for their colours at the door. 🤐

Every slip in that box is a shopper's entry for October's 𝗥𝟮,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗥 𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿. This is the centre's own monthly draw, and getting in takes one till slip and a pen.

Three checks before your slip goes in:

2. Your full name and a contact number are on the back.
3. It goes into the competition box by 𝟯𝟭 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿.

The slab you keep moving to next month starts this weekend. 🏗️

Big jobs rarely stall because nobody wants them. They stall because we wait until the whole amount is in hand, and every month-end something else gets there first. So the back room stays talk for another season.

A slab does not start with a concrete mixer. It starts with a spade.
