The Rod Club THE ROD CLUB Our mission is to enhance, promote and unite all local anglers in Light Tackle Boat Angling.

We strive to educate, encourage and inspire each other and develop the youth in this sport. The Rod Club is affiliated to EPLTBAA, giving anglers, of all ages, genders and ethnic groups, the opportunity to compete at provincial level and to be recognized for various achievements in this sport. Screening will be done on selective Thusday evenings at 18h30 pm at TRC. Total:
R1210. 00
R 650.00: entry fee (once off)
R 60. 00: tag (once off)
R 500.00: annual fee, due each November

Affiliation Fees 2022

All anglers wanting to compete in EP league competitions or claim EP records must be affiliated to EPLTBAA. All anglers wanting to compete in EP league competitions or claim SALTBAA records must be affiliated to SALTBAA. (Need to be affiliated to EP for SALTBAA affiliation)
Club Fees R 500.00 (Yearly Fee)
Due on 30th October each year
EPLTBAA Affiliations R 100.00
SALTBAA Affiliations R 150.00

Boat Registrations 2022/2023

The new year starts as of the 1st July 2022 and licences will be issued from that date, not before. Contact Club Manager, 083 417 3887, regarding price as there is a yearly increase. Please refer to trading times to see the boat registration times

Documents that must be brought with when registering boats:
Valid Floatation certificate for 15h/p or less.
• COF
• Skippers License (both to be in same name)
Any catorgary E (sea going vessels) will first be inspected by Nature Conservation before a licence for the Swartkops River can be issued. Contact:

River stickers...
Good afternoon all. Some good news on a Friday afternoon.
Boat Registration is now available at The Rod Club for the Swartkops River at R522.00. Please note: Registration hours are as follows; Wednesday to Friday 12pm to 6pm.
Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm.
Boat Registrations are stricktly CASH only. No card or EFT payments accepted.

‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️Good morning fellow anglers.
Unfortunately the municipality (F&F) does not have the exact amount of the new river licenses for the new year. They are still waiting for correspondence from the top. Last year we only got the amount 2 weeks later in July. You can still fish and use the river as per normal. Nobody will get fined for fishing without a river licence until it is available. We will let you know once we have the amount, and then you can come for the new river registration. Sorry for the inconvenience. Tight lines
