Brace yourselves. The next few days are going to be loud.

Wicknell's death will not be allowed to simply be a death. It will become a battlefield of theories, prophecies and competing narratives.

There will be conspiracy theories. There will be prophets emerging from the woodwork, claiming they foresaw it. There will be those mourning, and inevitably, those celebrating.

But strip away the noise, and one truth remains:

Death belongs to all of us.

Rich or poor. Powerful or powerless. Celebrated or despised. Our differences shape how we live. They do not exempt us from how life ends.

So mourn if you need to. Reflect if you can. But never celebrate another person's death as though mortality has forgotten your address.

A Prayer for Businesses and the Nation
Let us pray for businesses to thrive, grow and create employment for those who need work. May God establish the work of our hands and give business leaders wisdom, integrity and the ability to produce wealth for the benefit of their communities.

May our businesses become instruments through which families are supported, communities are developed, and the nation is fed. Let us remain united—intertwined in business, purpose and spirit—because “two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labour” (Ecclesiastes 4:9).

May we commit all our work to the Lord, trusting Him to establish our plans (Proverbs 16:3). May He grant us the power to create wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18), bless the work of our hands (Deuteronomy 28:12), and teach us to share with those in need (Ephesians 4:28).

Lord, let Your favour rest upon us; establish the work of our hands and make our businesses a blessing to others. May they create jobs, restore dignity, feed families and contribute to the prosperity of our nation. Unite us in faith, purpose and service. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
