The Association of Elderly Muslims in Africa (TAEM-Africa) in partnership with Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) has the honour of hosting a Charity Dinner this year 28th March 2019.
This event is taking place within the framework of a new undertaking, Breaking Barriers to Elderly Care; A Livelihoods Improvement Program implemented by TAEM Africa in Partnership with UMSC. The initiative is intentioned to impact 3,800 destitute family members in 2019, from 500 targeted elderly Muslim households. And, in the next five years (2019 to 2023), the program is projected to reach over 42,000 household members (from 5000 targeted households).
It is our firm conviction that the March 2019 Charity Dinner will become yet another important venue for constructive dialogue around issues affecting the elderly persons and, seeking new solutions to enable them live meaningful, healthy and dignified later lives within their communities.
