CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL SHAREHOLDERS

Dear Valued Shareholder

We take this opportunity to wish you a wonderful year ahead.
As has been a customary tradition every year before the AGM, the SEI 1 management and stakeholder engagement teams undertake roadshows to engage with shareholders informing them about the affairs of the company. The roadshows would normally take place over a two-week period and included advising shareholders about upcoming events such as the AGM.
We have however, noticed that the safety and security of our team is under increased threat. Historically, certain roadshows have not proceeded as some shareholders have disrupted the event and not allowed the team to continue with the sessions. We have been notified that this threat is likely to escalate. Our priority is to ensure that all stakeholders, whether it be staff, service providers, and shareholders feel safe and are safe.
It is for this reason that we have decided to err on the side of caution and cancel the upcoming roadshows. A more meaningful and efficient way of communicating with shareholders is being investigated, because as shareholders, you are an integral part of the organisation, and we want to ensure that we create the value we all envisage.
We trust that you appreciate that management has applied itself to this difficult decision, and we will ensure that we improve and enhance how we convey key information going forward.

SEI1 Limited Virtual AGM Notice – 18 March 2024

The notice for Selective Empowerment Investments 1 Limited (SEI1) 11th Annual General Meeting (AGM) has been issued and is now available on our website https://seinvest.co.za/shareholders/ Notices have also been shared on various platforms including the OTC Express Platform and Shareholder WhatsApp groups.

The AGM will be held virtually on Monday, 18th of March 2024 at 10am. Please refer to the 2022/2023 Annual Report (Pages 105– 109) for the AGM notice and special instructions on how to cast your proxy vote and receive your unique link to join the virtual AGM.

The notice of the AGM must be read together with the 2022/2023 Annual Report, where the referenced resolutions are included.

Dear SEI1 Stakeholders, please find link below to notice issued to shareholders following the judgement delivered on the 24th of April 2023 in the matter between the CIPC and SEI1 on historical non-compliances that took place between 2013 – 2017 as disclosed in the annual reports of the Company. It is important to note that these historical non-compliances have been resolved since 2018 to date.

The notice outlines summary of findings and next steps that include a leave to appeal that was lodged on the 25th of April 2023. SEI1 would like to thank its shareholders for the continued support. Further information will be shared as the appeals process is followed.

This year marks the 29th year anniversary since our first democratic elections and today we commemorate and honour heroes and heroines who fought for our rights, ensuring equality to everyone, irrespective of their race, culture or background.

We celebrate freedom today under the theme “Consolidating and Safeguarding Democratic Gains”. Freedom comes with an immense responsibility which lies heavily on all of our shoulders. May we all play our part.
