Are you a hands-on automotive professional with strong technical expertise and leadership skills?
Chery, Lepas & JAC Midrand are looking for an experienced and driven Workshop Foreman to join our growing dealership group in Midrand, Gauteng.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing workshop productivity, maintaining high repair quality standards, assisting technicians with diagnostics, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction within a fast-paced dealership environment.
Minimum Requirements
• Qualified Motor Mechanic / Red Seal Certification
• Minimum 5 years’ dealership workshop experience
• Previous experience as a Workshop Foreman will be advantageous
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
• Experience with modern automotive diagnostic systems
• Valid driver’s license
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage workshop efficiency
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily workshop operations and technician productivity
• Assist technicians with complex diagnostics and repairs
• Ensure all repairs are completed according to manufacturer standards
• Monitor workshop quality control processes
• Support service advisors and management with technical information
• Ensure workshop housekeeping and safety standards are maintained
• Assist with warranty-related technical assessments where required
• Mentor and develop workshop staff and apprentices
