Be honest. Which excuse have you used?
'I'll start when I earn more.' 'It's basically gambling.' 'I need thousands of rands to start.'
None of them hold up. Most unit trusts and RAs let you start small, long-term investing isn't gambling, and waiting for 'more money' usually just means waiting.

Nobody gets rich from one big move. It's usually three boring ones, repeated.
1. Round up every purchase and save the difference, R2 to R8 a day adds up by December.
2. Move your savings the day you get paid, not whatever's left at month-end.
3. Cancel one subscription you forgot you're still paying for. Most people have at least one.
Which one will you actually try this week?

Spring cleaning usually stops at the cupboards. This year, take it further.
Four things worth five minutes each: your budget, your sums insured, your beneficiary nominations, and your emergency fund.
None of it is complicated. All of it gets skipped every year.

We ask this to almost every new client.
The answers are always different. But the feeling behind them is almost always the same, not regret, just the wish that someone had explained it sooner.

The SARB's next rate decision lands in September.
Analysts are split, most predict a hold, with a potential cut possible toward the end of 2026 if inflation eases. A further hike is also not off the table.

Here is the thing: whichever way it goes, the people who come out best are the ones who knew their numbers before the announcement, not after.

If rates hold: you have time to review and restructure.
If rates cut: your bond payment drops. The smart move is to keep paying the same amount and let the difference accelerate your capital.
If rates hike again: you want to already have a plan that absorbs it.
In every scenario, clarity beats reaction.

Most financial plans fail because they start in the wrong place.
Not with goals, with products. And without knowing what the money is actually for, every financial decision becomes a guess.

Swipe through to understand how short, medium, and long-term goals need completely different approaches, and why this matters more than any single product decision.

Despite everything, the interest rate hike, the cost of living pressure, the uncertainty, 75% of South Africans believe their financial position will improve over the next six months. That is the highest optimism level since 2020.

That is genuinely good news. But here is what the same research also shows: there is a growing divide between South Africans who are actively building wealth and those who are battling just to keep up. And the difference between the two groups is rarely income.

It is whether they have a plan that converts optimism into actual outcomes.
Believing things will get better is a start. Having a structure that makes sure they do that is the next step.

If your optimism needs a plan behind it, that is exactly what we do.
