"Am I too OLD to start saving for my retirement?"
That is normally the next question I receive from clients.
Unless youโre reading this from your 90th birthday party with one candle leftโฆ probably not ๐
People treat retirement saving like marathon training.
โIf I didnโt start at 25, whatโs the point?โ
But life (and your retirement) isnโt an Olympic final. Itโs more like a long, slightly chaotic park run.
Yes, starting young is great. But starting later with higher income and fewer dumb decisions? Also powerful.
At 45, 50, even 60, you can still:
โข save aggressively
โข kill debt
โข downsize
โข invest smarter
โข buy yourself options
And options = freedom.
Remember, retirement isnโt about yachts and coconuts.
Itโs about not having to say, โI guess I have to work forever.โ
So no โ youโre not too old.
Youโre just on the โless scrolling, more savingโ plan now.
Start today. Your future self will grumble less and thank you more.
