Most policies require:
✔️ A valuation certificate or invoice as proof of value
✔️ Updated valuations every 2 years
✔️ Items valued at R25 000+ to be kept in a securely locked safe when not in use

⚠️ Cyber fraud is on the rise and it’s getting harder to detect.

We’re seeing an increase in cases where emails between businesses are intercepted and altered, with banking details changed before the recipient even opens the message.

These scams are highly sophisticated and often look completely legitimate, making them easy to miss.

At Hibiscus Brokers, we encourage our clients to take extra care:

🔍 Always verify banking details before making payment
📞 Confirm any changes telephonically using known contact details
💳 Never rely solely on emailed banking information
📱 Be cautious of unexpected attachments or urgent requests

It only takes one small oversight for a payment to be redirected.

💡 There is insurance cover available for certain cyber and fraud-related risks but it is not automatically included on your policy and needs to be arranged separately.
