Fedhealth has confirmed that amalgamation discussions with Medshield have now formally ended, after independent actuarial evaluation and Board deliberations. This outcome does not alter Fedhealth’s strategy to build a leading next-generation South African open medical scheme — supported by Sanlam. Fedhealth remains financially strong, with solvency at 32%.
