‼New Minimum Wage for 2025‼

The Minister of Employment and Labour has announced the new minimum wage rates for 2025. These rates will be effective from 1 March 2025:

National Minimum Wage: R28.79 per hour for all workers, including domestic and farm workers.

Expanded Public Works Programme: Workers are entitled to a minimum wage of R15.83 per hour.

Learnership Agreements: Workers with learnership agreements under Section 17 of the Skills Development Act, 1998 (Act No. 97 of 1998), are entitled to allowances as specified in Schedule 2.
