Gold Digger

Gold Digger Supporting organisations in building high levels of employee engagement through stories, conversations and playfulness. We are storytellers.

The organisational world is a challenging environment undergoing continuous and dynamic change. Success is short lived and future relevance demands a constant sharpening of the pencil or possibly a changing of the pencil. Within this, organisations need to respond well and connect and engage their people, supporting them through turbulent waters, creating environments that foster creativity, inspi

ration and pro-active resolve. Gold Digger supports organisations in building high levels of engagement and in unleashing people potential. We do this by facilitating insight through story, conversations and playfulness. Story is context enriched with emotion and is a powerful medium for connecting and engaging people around principles and “truth”. In addition we teach leaders how they themselves can use this powerful tool to connect and energise their people, their customers and their stakeholders. We create safe places for focussed facilitated conversations. Conversations are the way people discover what they know, share it with colleagues and in doing so create intellectual knowledge. A well established process of meaningful, safe and adventurous conversations energizes, aligns and focuses people. We facilitate playful experiential engagements. Studies show that we recall and learn best through experience! When we experience insight we recall 65% of what was engaged after three months. When told the success is a low10%insight. Our team building development workshops are fresh, contextual and meaningful.

Today we did our coffee stop podcast moment at Mitchells Park in Durban at the Blue Zoo Cafe. Our question, "what is my pathway back to start?" The question has been brewing for a couple of weeks and the more we pondered the more we loved it. Its February, the chill of vacation is now a distant memory and chances are you are needing some pathways back to your start. Pathways that lead/return you to your authentic ways of being and believing.

Over December I read “Becoming” by Michelle Obama. The book was full of many treasures and one of these informed this beautiful question. The downtown Chicago restaurant was more than a meal on a Thursday night. It was a path back to the start. How we need little things that return us to authent...

We excited to start a new podcast season, following a break. As always it's about questions as one of our biggest friends are questions, good questions, where our goal is not fast answers.

This question was purposefully chosen in the context of a the new year. If you like me, you often hit the reset button. One of the biggest reset buttons is a new year where most of us do want a year of growth and movement. Do any of us really aspire to be the same a year from now - no motion?

The motivation behind change is however a primary reason as to whether we push through and that's why we thought we would ask this intriguing question, "What are my I am statements." Hope you enjoy. We invite your comments. Let's walk in meaning.

It’s the start of the year and we all have intentions of positive change for the new year. Sadly, most of it won’t happen. A major reason might be the motivation behind the change. In this podcast we explore a motivation that is most helpful to sustain cha...

A great mantra in life might be “never stop moving and never stop making it better.” We often celebrate outcomes and yet perhaps we should change focus and amplify action and growth. Such an orientation can make a tough situation redeemable and a great art...

Café Life - #96 – What BS needs to be stomped on?

I have noticed in my life that there have been moments when for some reason I have woken up on a particular day and simply said, - “enough.” I can’t always explain what brought the clarity of resolve on that day, but the power of such heightened boldness and the momentum of “enough” is priceless.

Leading business consultant John Kotter says that change only happens when urgency is created. Change and transformation need a sense of fury that is greater than intention and this powerful question seeks to facilitate such movement. There is definitely no formulae to arriving at these moments, but they certainly are facilitated through us give ourselves space to ponder on mediocrity that deserves stomping.

I know it might be a bit offensive but how powerful from Liz Gilbert, “I have never seen any life transformation that did not begin with the person in question finally getting sick of their own bullsh*t.”
