📸 ACCESS TO MARKET ENGAGEMENT - KENYA COLLABORATION HELD IN KIMBERLEY

The Chief Executive Officer of Mme Re Ka Thusa Trust Fund, Mrs Gladys Motshele, together with the Chief Executive Officer of LAMO Fuel, held a high-level stakeholder engagement session at the Mme Re Ka Thusa Trust Fund Provincial Office.

The engagement formed part of an Access to Market and Kenya Collaborative initiative, aimed at strengthening collaboration between key stakeholders and enterprises supported through the Trust Fund.

This session created a platform for stakeholders to explore market access opportunities, partnerships, and procurement linkages that will support the growth and sustainability of women-owned enterprises.

During the engagement, LAMO Fuel - a woman-led energy solution based company delivered its response to the growing need for renewable energy integration into the mainstream economy.

Lamo Fuel focuses on the development and use of innovative technologies and processes to produce energy products from carbon-rich waste, contributing to waste-to-energy solutions that promote sustainability and environmental responsibility. Through this, the discussions focused on strategic initiatives, current developments, and future opportunities aimed at fostering socio-economic growth and sustainable partnerships between institutions.

The presence of both government and private sector stakeholders highlighted the importance of collaborative governance and inclusive economic development in the Northern Cape.

[📌 9TH STATE OF THE PROVINCE ADDRESS BY DR. ZAMANI SAUL]

The Enterprise Development Manager, Mrs Liliwe Ngwane, led a delegation from Mme Re Ka Thusa Trust Fund to the State of the Province Address (SOPA), presented by the Premier of the Northern Cape, Dr. Zamani Saul.

The State of the Province Address (SOPA) serves as a strategic platform where the Provincial Government outlines its key priorities and programme of action for the year ahead. It provides direction on policy implementation, economic growth initiatives, infrastructure development, and measures aimed at improving service delivery across all districts.

The delegation’s attendance reflects the Trust Fund’s commitment to aligning its enterprise development programmes with provincial priorities. Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening entrepreneurship, supporting small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs), promoting women-owned businesses, and advancing sustainable economic participation across the province.

Through active participation in the SOPA, the Trust Fund continues to position itself as a strategic partner in driving inclusive economic development and expanding opportunities for emerging entrepreneurs throughout the Northern Cape.

[📌 VEDANTA ONCOLOGY PROJECT OFFICIAL OPENING]

Today, the Enterprise Development Manager, Mrs. Liliwe Ngwane and District Manager, Mr. Brandon Raymond, led the Mme Re Ka Thusa Trust Fund Team at the Vedanta Oncology Project Official Opening, which took place at the Springbok Sports Ground Hall.

This is an initiative of the Northern Cape Provincial Government led by Premier, Dr. Zamani Saul, in collaboration with Vedanta Zinc International.

This is a powerful reflection of government’s commitment to meaningful service delivery. For too long, residents of the Namakwa District affected by cancer had to travel nearly 800km to Kimberley to access treatment.

This centre brings quality care closer to home, restoring dignity, easing financial strain and improving the living conditions of our communities.

Health care access is not a privilege, it’s a right and today, we moved closer to making that a reality.

From producing quality bricks to offering delivery services, her business is driving local economic growth and creating impact in the community. 💼💪

This visit reaffirms our commitment to walking the journey with women entrepreneurs, not just as funders but as partners in progress.

Together, we are building stronger businesses, stronger communities, and a stronger economy.
