Growing up in the part of the world I grew up in …

All the baby boomer generation asked was you married 👰?

And of course, that was as soon as you came of age.

The boomers didn't care how much you had saved.

They didn't care what you have?

They didn't care how much you were making either.

All they cared about is you if you have a spouse?

The sooner for them the better.

In that part of the world, where I grew up, the phenomenon I described above is still taking place right now.

I see people quit college to get married.

I see people quit their jobs to get married.

I also see teenagers quit school to get married.

Frankly speaking, people get married throughout the world without thinking it through.

That's the problem.

Getting married without thinking it through can only end one way.

And I mean one way only.

Dysfunctional marriage. Or worse divorce.

The courts are full of divorce files.

So are the traditional courts. The chiefs and headsmen are busy passing judgments day in day out in traditional courts.

What breaks my heart the most are the kids. Kids become victims.

They suffer the consequences of a broken marriage.

The million-dollar question is what's the problem?

What’s really the problem?

The answer is a single five letter word - money.

Once your expenses as a couple outgrows your income …

The cracks in the marriage start to show.

Your partner starts to show you their true colors.

And the love dissipates into thin air like benzene.

Hell breaks loose.

But the million-dollar question is where does this come from?

If you are like me once again, I'm sure you have heard a gazillion times that charity begins at home.

But what does that mean?

It means you learn the fundamentals - principles - of life from home.

Now, finding love - true love - is the most important thing you can ever do in your lifetime.

Because the truth of the matter is love makes the world go round.

And love is much sweeter when you have extra money to spoil your loved ones.

Extra money? Of course, extra money.

What's extra money? Glad you asked.

Extra money is money beyond your living expenses.

That's right.

The challenge is that your needs and wants can outgrow your income.

The question is how can you multiply your income? Multiply your income to cover your expenses and at the same time have extra money?

It's not rocket 🚀 science.

It's so simple.

But if you are like me once again, you might not have heard about this principle growing up.

You might not have heard about this principle at school.

But this principle is the backbone of financial freedom and wealth building.

What’s the principle?

Pay yourself first.

That's right. The principle is pay yourself first.

Put away money into your investment savings account. Pay yourself before you pay rent, buy groceries, and pay school fees. Pay yourself before you pay for transport and any other living expenses.

This is vitally important. This must be your number one expenditure every time you get paid.

The money you put away into your investment savings account is your seed money. Your seed money from which your wealth tree will grow.

Remember money has the greatest impact on your life. The greatest impact compared to anything you can imagine.

What’s financial freedom?

It is not having hundreds of thousands of dollars stashed away in a retirement account.

It’s certainly not stashing away hundreds or thousands into a retirement account.

It’s not having millions of dollars in a savings account.

Frankly speaking, it’s not pouring hundreds or thousands into a savings account.

There is no difference between a retirement account and a savings account.

For example, an inflationary economy can wipe out a savings and retirement account.

Now, there are a couple of things that affect your retirement or savings account. For example, inflation, interest rates, economic boom, or economic bust to name a few.

The question remains what’s financial freedom?

Financial freedom, according to Robert T. Kiyosaki, ...

is when your monthly passive income is greater than your monthly living expenses.

That’s right. Once your passive income is more than your monthly expenses you are financially free.

The key word here is monthly. The passive income must be constant - regular.

Not only must the passive income be constant - regular. It must also be inflation, taxes, interest rates, economic bust proof.

That’s the difference.

Excess money helps you to build wealth. It helps you to build wealth because you are free.

Free to do whatever you want. Why? Because you have both time and money freedom.

Now, to figure out how much passive income you must make monthly, to cover all your living expenses …

You should first figure out your monthly living expenses.

You must track your expenses for at least ninety days.

Once you have your living expenses figure at hand ...

You can figure out how much you must make to cover your monthly expenses.

The question is how do you become financially free?

How do you stop living a hand to mouth existence?

Or how do you live limitlessly financially like the Limitless Maverick you are?

Frankly speaking, positive thinking alone will not make the cut.

For positive thinking alone can turn into wishful thinking. Wishful thinking because it doesn’t have something complementing it.

You can’t wish to be financially free either. You will be as good as a castle builder. That’s of little help to you.

Neither can you only pray to be financially free.

If praying alone could make a person financially free ...

Countless people all over the world could be rich as we speak.

But a closer look tells you a different story, doesn’t it?

Now, don’t get your wires crossed and don’t get me wrong about praying.

If anything, praying is important. And I mean particularly important. But as I have been saying and still saying, praying alone doesn’t get the job done.

That’s right.

Financial freedom is like solving a simultaneous equation.

You must solve two unknowns at the same time.

But unlike solving simultaneous equations using elimination or substitution …

If you are to stop living a hand to mouth existence.

Or if you are to live limitlessly financially like the Limitless Maverick you are …

You must marry two things. These things are not exclusive of each other.

Like a marriage where two people come together and work hand in hand.

If either party works as a separate unit, the union falls into trouble. Because once one party works alone, it’s as good as it’s working against the whole - the union.

What are you and I talking about here? Financial freedom.

Yes. Financial freedom.

Now to become financially free ...

You must marry positive thinking, praying, and self-belief with action.

Action is the universal key to financial freedom.

What kind of action should you be taking?

That's a good question.

Imagine for a moment that you are a farmer, will you?

You cannot think of corn, and corn magically appears in your hands.

Or you cannot wish for corn, and immediately corn appears in your hands either.

Neither can you pray for corn, and suddenly you enjoy the great taste of corn in your mouth …

Now, don't get me wrong.

There is nothing wrong with praying.

Because praying strengthens your belief muscle.

And you can do everything in your power, but if it doesn't rain or the sun doesn't shine, you can't harvest.

So, you still need the powers be, God, divine power, the universe to help you achieve a grand harvest.

Now, since you can't wish, think, or pray for corn into existence…

What must you do to have corn?

That's a good question.

Well, first you must prepare - plough the land.

Next, you must plant the corn seed into the ground and water it.

You must also w**d out w**ds. Weeds stifle the growth of the corn.

In about ninety to a hundred and twenty days you can enjoy the great taste of corn. So is your market.

All you must do is rinse and repeat the same process year after year or season after season.

Now, the same process applies to your mind. Your mind and finally results - living limitlessly or stop living a hand to mouth existence.

You can't wish to live limitlessly financially. Live limitless financially, suddenly vast amounts of money appear in your account.

You can't think about living limitlessly financially. And immediately countless amounts of money show up in your bank account either.

You can't just pray about living limitlessly and the same phenomenon happens.

There is a process to stop living a hand to mouth existence. In other words, living limitlessly, like the limitless maverick you are.

The process starts with your thinking.

Your thinking is the universal key to abundance.

Or your thinking has gotten where you are right now as T. Harv Eker says.

Like I said before, your body is an instrument of the mind.

Your thinking controls everything.

Your thinking affects how you feel.

Your feelings affect your behavior.

And your behavior affects your results.

Remember your thinking affects everything. This is worth repeating.

Now, to stop living a hand to mouth existence …

In other words, to live limitlessly like the Limitless Maverick you are…

Start with your thinking.

Not just any thinking, but positive thinking.

And this is the first principle to success - positive thinking.

And this is what you and I have been exploring for the past few weeks.

Once you have a positive frame of mind down, you can follow through with action.

Action.

That's right.

Action is the gap between craving and having what you crave.

You must act despite fear.

You must act despite worry.

You must act despite inconvenience.

You must act despite discomfort.

You must act despite uncertainty.

You must act even when you are not in the mood.

T. Harv Eker says in Secrets of the Millionaire Mind.

That's the only way you can stop living a hand to mouth existence.

In other words, that's the only way you can start living limitlessly. Start living limitlessly like the Limitless Maverick you are.

That's the only way you can start living the way God designed you to live.

Remember you can't wish, think, or pray for your desires into existence - tangible things.

You must act despite worry, discomfort, inconvenience, and fear. You must act even when you don't want to act - commitment.

Have you ever watched Nigerian Movies?

If you are like me, your answer is a resounding countless.

There is one scene in countless Nigerian Movies I would like to talk to you about.

Now, no matter who you are …

Or whether you get to the scene with streams of tears rolling down your cheeks …

Or smiling ear to ear…

Or whether you are well-dressed or smack dirty …

First, the walls around the scene are as high as a double story building.

Even if you scream your lungs out, the people in the scene might not even hear you.

Secondly, the guards won't let you in right out of the gate.

Because they screen everyone. They ask you questions. For example, who you are and what do you want in the scene.

Only after you have answered the questions satisfactorily to the guards …

They will go and seek permission to come in on your behalf.

Wow!

Just, wow!

Isn't that beautiful?

Wouldn't you agree that's beautiful?

Wouldn't you also agree that's power? Or that is powerful?

If you have a keen sense of imagination and understanding, by now you know what scene I’m talking about.

Could you guess - take a wild guess?

Yes?

I’m talking about the palace scene.

You do not come in and go out of the palace as you please.

No.

Not at all.

That’s exactly how your mind must work.

Your mind has two sections.

The conscious and the subconscious.

Your conscious mind is your evaluation mind.

It’s your reasoning mind.

Your conscious mind can accept or reject ideas.

But your subconscious mind is your blueprint.

Your subconscious mind doesn’t reason.

It cannot accept or reject ideas. It’s fight or flight. It reacts.

Now, the question is why do countless people react to life and situations?

Because everything and anything passes through the security gate.

Passes through the security gate straight into the palace.

No screening, no questions asked. Yes. Your subconscious mind is like a palace.

It’s powerful, forty million times more powerful than your conscious mind.

And it can give you everything you crave.

All you need to do is to be able to take a breath. Screen everything in an exceptionally relaxed state. Question your belief systems. Accept what is in line with what you crave and reject anything else that moves you away from your goals.

That's right.

Success gurus throughout the ages agree on one thing. And one thing only, that you become what you think about.

Over and above that, life is ninety-five percent of what you do about what happens to you.

The statement above means to be successful in life, you must stop reacting to situations.

Every thought you think affects your feelings and actions.

For example, if you think you can't do something …

You stop thinking and hence take no action.

But if you think about how I can do something, your mind becomes a hive of activity.

It's an open-ended question and you keep thinking until you find a solution.

Not only do you find a solution, but you will also take action to achieve what you crave.

This is what I have been sharing with you for the past couple of weeks now.

How to stop living a hand to mouth existence …

And start living the way God designed you to live. That’s to live limitlessly like the limitless Maverick you are.

Your thinking is exceptionally important. Don’t sweep this under the rug.

What do you believe?

Do you believe you can do what you want to do - including living limitlessly like the Limitless Maverick you are? Or you can’t do whatever you want to do?

Do you believe you can afford anything you crave? Or you can’t afford what you want?

Do you believe you can be rich and spiritual? Or you can’t be both - you believe once you become rich you become heartless?

Do you believe making money is the trickiest thing you will ever do? Or making money is as easy as cutting margarine with a hot knife?

Do you believe you will never be rich? Or do you believe you can become limitlessly rich?

Do you believe making money is out of your control? Or do you believe you have ultimate control over your finances?

Or finally, do you believe money is the root of all evil? Or with money, you can do good things?

Henry Ford said, “if you believe you can or can’t either way you are right.”

Oprah Winfrey said, “you don’t manifest what you want. You manifest what you believe.”

And the bible says, “as you believe so will it be done unto you.”

Now, let me ask you the question I asked you at the beginning once again.

What do you believe?

Frankly speaking, negative beliefs can stop you from achieving what you crave. Negative thoughts and beliefs can stop you from achieving your goals.

That’s right.

The process of manifestation is as clear as daylight. Your thoughts lead to your feelings. Your feelings lead to your actions and or inaction thereof.

In other words, your thoughts and feelings control your behavior.

That’s why Mr. Ford said that if you believe you can or can’t either way you are right.

For example, if you believe money is the root of all evil …

Automatically, you want nothing to do with money. You want nothing to do with something evil, do you?

What it means is your quest for limitless abundance ends before it starts.

To become successful at anything you can imagine, you must act.

And in this case, you will not for you believe money is the root of all evil. So, you want nothing to do with it like I said earlier on.

Now understand the same concept applies equally in the opposite.

The question is what would Limitless Maverick like you to achieve?

To replace your limiting beliefs with positive and empowering beliefs …

So, you can start practicing positive thinking.

Positive thinking empowers you to act to achieve your goals - whatever your goals are.

Remember money has the greatest impact on your life. It has the greatest impact, more than anything or any other commodity you can think of.

The truth of the matter is money isn't the root of all evil. God created everything in the universe for your own good. For you to enjoy. And for the betterment of humanity.

Money is as good as the air you breathe.

Money is as good as the water you drink.

When you think something is exceptionally hard, do you do it? Or the journey ends before it even begins?

You see,” the only impossible journey is the journey you never begin.” - Tony Robins.

Speaking of impossible journey …

Countless people do not start the journey to change. No. Not at all.

For the trickiest thing to do is to - you guessed it - change yourself.

Countless people believe they finish school. Once done, they want nothing to do with books anymore. For example, achieving a college degree.

The question now is when does school start?

According to Robert T. Kiyosaki, school starts as soon as you step out of the classroom.

That’s right. You must apply what you have learned to real life situations.

Which is why most job ads have an experience stipulation.

Or if you think you can’t do it …

You believe in failure.

And what happens is your dreams are still born. Your dreams die at birth. The journey ends before it starts.

The same applies with the belief or thought that it’s hard to make money.

Once the idea that it’s hard to make money germinates in your mind …

The question becomes why the trouble? Why try when it’s hard to make money?

Doing so is the equal to digging a colossal grave using a caterpillar …

And burying your dreams alive.

But the truth of the matter is making money is easy.

You can make money around the clock.

And you can make money in your sleep.

The first step is to replace the limiting beliefs. Limiting beliefs, for example, making money is hard.

The first step is to change your belief system.

The first step is to change your mindset.

The first step is to think truth despite appearances.

Because frankly speaking, you are like a farmer planting seed. Not any seeds, but good seeds.

The farmer knows without any doubt the harvest will be much bigger than the seeds.

So, it takes repetition. Repetition to install the new beliefs. Repetition to install a new mindset. Repetition to install truth into the treasures of your subconscious mind.

Say making money is easy to yourself countless times as possible every single day.

Are you too old to be limitlessly successful or rich?

And how often does this question flash into your consciousness?

If you are like countless people, the thought that you are too old to be rich is constant and heavy on your mind.

It bothers you, doesn’t it?

But let me remind you that thoughts are things as Bob Proctor says.

You see, getting old is the goal.

That's why you celebrate and become merrier with each birthday 🎂.

Because getting old isn't the only goal you achieve.

No. Not at all.

You also become wiser or finer like wine with age.

The question is how does one become wiser? How does one get innovative ideas?

By studying.

That's right.

By setting aside time and commitment to study books and different situations. Different situations in the journey of life and success.

Frankly speaking you don’t become wiser and get innovative ideas. You don't become wiser and get innovative ideas if you think you have finished school.

The idea that you finish school has led countless dreams to the slaughterhouse. Led countless dreams to the slaughterhouse and killed them instantly.

More so, the idea that you are too old to be successful and rich has led countless dreams to the slaughterhouse. Led countless dreams to the slaughterhouse and killed them instantly too.

Now, instead of thinking you are too old to become successful and rich …

Start believing you are becoming better.

You're becoming wiser.

You are making better choices.

Honestly speaking, you have limitless potential locked inside you.

You are truly limitless and not done until your creator says you are.

Limitless Mavericks like Colonel Sanders of KFC became rich in his sixties.

Henry Ford of the Ford Motor Company started his company in his forties.

Robert Kiyosaki of the Rich Dad Company became financially free at forty-seven.

And Oprah Winfrey is making way more money in her sixties than ever before.

In conclusion, trash the limiting belief that you are too old to be successful and rich.

Start working on your dreams right away. And keep working on your new horizons until you take your last breath.

Have you ever seen or read the line the sky is the limit?

It sounds like a rhetorical question, doesn’t it?

For the words or line ‘the sky is the limit’ is everywhere.

And if you are a football fan especially The South African Premiership League ...

You are familiar with the line the sky is the limit.

Sky is the limit is the tagline of one of the giant clubs in the South African Premier League.

Now, my childhood kwaito music all-time best songwriter and singer M’du Masilela sang a song. A song he titled the sky is the limit. Sky is the limit is on album 24seven.

He sang,” you can stop the life you are living. You can do anything you are feeling. You can do whatever you want. The sky is the limit, and freedom is in your hands.”

Frankly speaking, the sky is the limit is one of the songs I love the most. I have enjoyed the song over the years. To this day I still enjoy this all-time classic.

You see, the sky is the limit is so truer as far as how the golden rule works.

What’s the golden rule, you ask?

Glad you asked.

The golden rule is the basis of Christianity. It’s the basis of spirituality.

The golden rule says do unto others as you want them to do unto you. Treat others the way you want them to treat you. That’s all.

And that’s good, isn’t it?

If there weren’t rules like the golden rule you and I would easily fall into anarchy, wouldn’t we?

That said, however, today I would like to talk to you about the same line in a different light.

Because as far as living your life without limits …

Or stop living a hand to mouth existence …

Or in other words living limitlessly like the Limitless Maverick you are …

The sky has never been, is not, and will never be the limit.

The universe, God, the Lord or whatever you call the higher power, can’t wait to give you the abundance you crave.

But first you must embody abundance.

For the process of creation flows from inside out. Not the other way around, unfortunately.

Think of an egg or a chick. I’m sure you have heard this countless times. If you break an egg, life ends. But if an egg cracks from inside, life begins. A chick hatches.

The same concept applies to babies too.

Or even fruits.

So is the success you crave, abundance, financial freedom, and anything you can imagine.

You must see abundance in your mind first before you can see it in your bank account.

You must see success in your mind before you can achieve it.

You must see financial freedom in your mind first before you can achieve it.

So, like I said before, the sky has never been, isn’t, and will never be the limit.

Your mind is your limit.

Now, you have no one to blame and no one is coming to change your mindset.

Unlimiting your mind is your responsibility.

That’s what you and I are talking about here.

How to make your mind limitless.

It starts with replacing your limiting beliefs.

It starts with removing all mental blocks or kinks.

It starts with allowing the abundant spirit to flow. Flow to and through you without distractions.

The challenge is schools, colleges, and universities don’t teach these principles.

Do you know your body is an instrument of the mind?

Your thoughts and feelings have a colossal impact on your body.

That’s right. Your mind controls everything.

For example, say you see your best friend across the street. You wave at them in delight, smiling ear to ear.

It might seem natural that you waved at your friend. But there is a process - mental process. The reason it might seem natural is the process is as fast as lightning speed.

Because first you see your friend, recognize them, and finally wave at them.

For your senses are like antennae to your mind. Seeing your friend triggers a mental activity - a thinking process.

And this goes for everything.

You see, you live in a thought world.

So, thinking precedes everything.

That’s right. You can’t create or do anything that you didn’t first think. Yes, the first step is to think about what you want to do and do it.

Doctor Joseph Murphy said, “if you think poverty, poverty, misery, and wretchedness follows. And if you think abundance, riches follow too.”

“You think in secret, and time passes. Environment is your looking glass,” - James Allen.

Now, everything artificial you see in this world is the manifestation of a thought in someone’s mind.

For example, cars, planes, buildings, and ships.

Now, speaking of thinking.

Thinking and believing that you can’t be rich and spiritual is absurd.

Frankly speaking poverty and spirituality can’t exist in the same sentence.

Countless folks believe poverty pleases God. But that’s not true.

Your God is God of abundance.

For proof, look at nature - look at the birds in the air, trees, waters in the rivers and the ocean.

Now, spirituality means doing something good for fellow folks.

But you can’t help even yourself when you’re poor, can you?

See, in April 2017 I lost the best job I ever had. I survived on my savings for a couple of months. But with no money coming in, I used up my savings like paper fire.

At one point I still remember vividly, I couldn’t feed myself let alone my two daughters and then pregnant wife.

It was hell on earth. The worst days of my life without any doubt.

I don’t wish to relive those awful days ever again.

That said, however, everywhere you go the world over, the rich and poor live side by side.

The question is who is more spiritual, the rich or the poor?

The question answers itself, doesn’t it?

The rich donate billions of dollars to help underprivileged people around the world.

That’s spirituality right there.

So, you can be both rich and spiritual.

See, money doesn’t change who you are. It amplifies who you are.

A good person with money helps countless more people.

And the opposite is also true.

A mean person with more money becomes meaner.

In conclusion, like I said before, you can be both rich and spiritual.

So, trash the belief and thought that you can’t be rich and spiritual.

It’s one of the countless lies you have heard since childhood.

Just as much as poverty pleases God.
