Today, we’re celebrating not only South Africa’s brilliant secretaries, but every person working behind the scenes to make things happen.

A royal flush of fun, friendly competition and giving back. ♠️

Oak Tree’s Annual Poker Classic 2026 took place on 6 August, bringing our team and industry friends together for an evening of cards, conversation and a little healthy rivalry around the table.

Last year, the trophy stayed proudly in-house with our very own Seth Wade.

This year, it was snatched away by Richard Pearson of Osprey Underwriting Managers, who walked away as the 2026 champion, trophy in hand.

As always, the evening was about more than the winnings. The prize money was split 50/50 with the winner receiving 75% of the half and the runner up getting 25% The other half was then doubled by Oak Tree and will be given to charities, supporting worthy causes. We will have more soon on who the monies are donated to. Watch this space!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such a success.

Until next year, when we will be trying very hard to win our trophy back. 🏆
