At Barton and Perfect Delivery we share and reward success on the sports fields, especially what happens on our beloved Bowls Greens. However, we also handle private, individual and business loss in our daily work that is mostly conducted in private because of the very nature of insurance. This week was marked by horrendous fires and devastating damage to property in the Mossel Bay area, with many lives being endangered in a frightful situation. Our hearts go out to all that have lost property and suffered in the devastation. Many people forget about the emotional loss that accompanies destruction of homes and other property. It will take a long time to pick up the pieces and process the horrors of fires. The aftermath of such destruction includes a lot of repair, recovery and restoration of homes, property and possessions, but especially the tragic and emotional losses of what we hold dear.

Ons hanteer egter ook, as deel van ons daaglikse werk met versekering, private, individuele en besigheidsverliese. Dié week is gekenmerk deur verskriklike brande en vernietigende skade aan eiendom in die Mosselbaai area, met lewensgevaarlike toestande in ’n uiters bedreigende situasie. Wees verseker dat ons hart en siel bewus is van die trauma wat gely is in besonder gevaarlike omstandighede en ons voel die verlies wat gely is saam met elkeen wat deur die tragedie geraak is. Baie mense vergeet van die emosionele verlies wanneer huise en ander eiendom vernietig word. Dit sal lank neem om alles te herbou en om die afgryse van die brande te verwerk. Die nadraai van soveel vernietiging behels baie herstelwerk en restorasie van huise, eiendom en besittings, maar veral genesing na die tragiese en emosionele verlies van dit waaraan ons soveel waarde heg.
