What is a Unit Trust?

A unit trust is an investment vehicle that provides you with an easy and low-cost way to invest in financial markets. Unit trusts pool money from many investors to form one big fund. The unit trust fund is divided into equal parts called units.

Units are issued to you based on the amount of money you invested and the price of the unit on the day of investments. The money in the fund is invested on your behalf by our investment management partners in shares, bonds, money market instruments and other investments.

The distributions (dividend/interest income) of the fund are shared amongst investors on a proportional basis. You can decide to cash out the distributions or reinvestment them by buying more units.

Meet our Chief Executive Officer, Ms Keabetswe Ntuli.

Keabetswe is the founding CEO of Africa Collective Investments. Prior to joining ACI, she was the lead sales analyst in the Global Prime Finance team at Deutsche Bank (“DB”), which she joined in 2010. During her tenure at DB she also served as the Prime Client Services and Equity Synthetic Operations Head.

Keabetswe has over 10 years’ experience in prime brokerage, investment banking, research analysis and auditing. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant having completed her BCom Honours (Accounting Sciences) degree at the University of Pretoria and completed her articles at PricewaterhouseCoopers, serving in both the Johannesburg and Dallas offices.
