Summary
There are many challenges and life-storms we go through as we pursue our dreams, goals, objectives, visions, this also and the case as we pursue our current endeavor which is to obtain our qualifications, and hoping to make our parents, next of kin, guidance, lectures and community proud. I’ve never viewed myself as particularly talented but one thing I’ve a
lways known about myself is that I truly believe in everything I do(speaking things into existence).I also have discovered that life was not designed to give us what we want or what we need but life was designed to give us what we deserve. Through the process of fighting and giving my best to try and obtain my qualification, I have faced difficult moments, tremendous challenges that nearly cause me to give up because of the failure I thought I was since I failed my modules. I have listened to people telling me that internal auditing is not for everyone “especially blacks” and that made a huge impact in my life. When I failed auditing last year 2014 I started to believe that it was true and that’s when I bowed down and prayed to GOD for wisdom. GOD gave me the power of faith and this year 2015 everything changed as I started getting distinction’s in my subjects, including auditing. Faith and hard work is like a seed buried in the ground fighting for survival and that’s like us students with our academic life. We’ve being lectured too by lectures and most of us fail not because of your teaching skills but because we are all lacking faith within ourselves and let other people influence us to believe that we are not good enough in our current endeavor. Solution
I have discovered my talent through the process of my failings and challenges which led me to discover that I have H.P.L.P in my genes which is Helping People Live their full Potential. I’m a natural born motivator, life coach, public speaker and I want to use my talent to help my peers experience life changing results with regards to their academic performance. I want to help them believe in themselves and to believe that through Christ strengthen them they can do anything. I have prepared various topics or themes that I can present to my peers believing that it can help us to not only pass our modules but to get distinction’s in our modules and make our loved ones proud. If we can have a monthly motivational seminar targeting students from 1st year, through B-tech, 2nd years should receive a lot of attention through this initiative I believe we can make a difference as that’s when we have the most number of dropouts. I have already presented these topics at my previous high school and at collages in my community and it worked out perfectly and made a huge difference in the students’ lives. It also influenced their performance in their studies and the way in which they think about life’s challenges. The need for Re-invention
According to studies the about 85% of students in SA universities dropout annually. I’ve began to believe that it is due to lack of knowledge amongst students. What knowledge am I talking about? .It pertaining to personal development and the interpersonal skills and faith needed succeed. I quote “winners never quit and losers never win”. There are three kinds of people in life there are winners, there are losers, and there are people who haven’t discovered how to win yet .All they need is some coaching all they need is some little encouragement to help them get to their goals. I believe that have the right tools and measures in me to help them discover the things they never knew they could do and to find themselves living up their full potential. Conclusion
I’ve once found myself in a situation where I listened to peoples’ opinion and made them my reality. I remember it was 22April 2012 when I discovered that you can have more than you’ve got because you can become more than you are. My mom plays a big role in my life as I grew up without a father. Through all the difficulties she made sure that I don’t feel miserable. She told me to be strong and hold my head up no matter what. I know for a fact that even here at school there are students who went through were I’ve been and some are still facing. Others are going through painful and unbearable situations. As this affects their academic performance and my dream is to give as much help as possible in lifting up their morale and enthusiasm. All I need is support and a go ahead to share my talent, vision and ability as God instructed me.
