To all our supporters of the Amakhaya Rethabile Children's and Community Project, firstly let me say thank you for sharing in caring for our children and adults over the years.
Your love, support and contributions has enhanced our work in giving our children the opportunity to succeed and face their challenges and overcoming all of their difficulties coming from troubled and vulnerable home situations.
Presently we have many needs, however one of our greatest needs is to make our home a safe and secure place to call their home. We are in need of funds to renovate Our buildings. We need to replace ceilings, paint our ceilings and walls both exterior and interior, our roofs also needs repairs and painting. We will accept any contribution either in cash or kind. Hello everyone. It's been a while. Have been busy with admitting new children into school. This year we have had 3 new admissions. Abenathi started grade 1 this year and her little sister starts grade R on Monday. Please 've so kind as to assist us in providing stationery for our children to make schooling a pleasure for them. Plastic covers and printing paper ( TYPEK ) is one of our greatest needs. We are also looking for sponsors to assist in purchasing school uniforms for our children.
I would also like to make a very special request. Amakhaya has a great financial need and I am pleading with each of you to consider making a pledge in small contribution in as little as one hundred rands each month so tgat we are able to meet with our day to day needs.
This year one of our young boys has been chosen to study diamond polishing an organisation known as THE BERA DIAMOND ACADEMY and the normal cost of this course is R48000.00 for two years. Sibu needs R4500.00 for this year and R5200.00 for next year as registration fee. I have been given time to pay this fee. So for now he is on school and I believe that with your help we can together give Sibu a chance for a brighter future. Hello everyone. Seasons greetings. 2018 has dawned us us and it seems like the days are moving.
Just a little news on our project. Our children will be coming back on Sunday 14th. I am so pleased to say that 98% of our children have passed and we looking forward to see what 2018 holds for each of them.
One of our girls Nthabeleng Chauke wrote matric and passed with a diploma college entrance. We are so proud of her and her achievements inspite if all the challenges sge faced last year. Well done Chauke as we fondly call you.
I also have a few requests in order for us to upgrade our centre as well as create a safe and secure home for our children and adults as well as our staff.
We are in need of fencing, doors and Windows need replacements. Our dining hall needs to have a ceiling put on and our lighting system needs to be corrected and installed according to the required standards.
We are desperately if an electric lawnmower as well as a brush cutter to keep out yards looking near and tidy.
