Position : Senior Steel Buyer
Department : Sales
Reports to : Sales Manager

Job purpose:
The timeously placement of purchase orders and delivery of purchased material purchased at the best price possible

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
• Purchasing material for stock as per the replenishment system
• Purchasing material for customer orders
• Be aware of orders outstanding waiting for stock
• Source and select supplier with the best purchase terms
• Continuously following up with suppliers to confirm the status of deliveries
• Be aware of issues and alerting relevant people
• Alert sales people of stock shortages
• Monitoring price increases and decreases and inform sales people of the changes
• Maintain an up-to-date supplier comparison
• Follow the system at all times

Creditors Clerk

Duties will include:
Creditors administration
Capturing of creditor invoices and matching to purchase orders and authorisations
Prepare reconciliations of creditor accounts and provide periodic reports and reconciliation supporting schedules as directed from time to time
Ensure valid authorisation by the authorisations team and management
Balancing Creditors Age Analysis
Cashbook (Creditors)
Maintain a filing system in respect of accounting data, records, contracts and invoices
Assist in preparing monthly accounting schedules and Ad hoc duties as required
Maintain filing and archive systems
Qualification & Experience
Matric
Bookkeeping qualification will be an advantage
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Maintain a well run debtors book within accepted ageing and days as targeted by the company
• Ensure sufficient collections in terms of cash flow
• General housekeeping
• Distribute monthly statements timeously
• Ensure that all recons and queries have been attended to and sorted out efficiently and timeously
• Post payments accurately and timeously
• Build relationships with customers
• Build strong relationships with sales
• Deal with the legal hand over process including final demands and black listing
• Manage the hand over and recovery process with Credit Guarantee
• Daily cash-up of cash desk sales
• Prepare cash flow forecasts for management

An exciting Sales Manager opportunity has arisen at one of our Clients in Mpumalanga Middelwit Office.
- MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The incumbent will be responsible for achieving sales volume, revenue and margin targets as per the set budget and will take full responsibility for the overall sales Management function in the Mpumalanga area including Swaziland. This includes maintaining and growing the customer base in the region and finding sustainable business opportunities within the private and public sector.
The successful candidate will be expected to ensure that all sales management, administrative and financial control procedures and policies are fully implemented and to undertake the necessary training and development activities among staff. Included in the scope of activity will be the effective performance of the various Client Sales Centres in the Region and the motivation, management and control of our local sales staff, both internal and external.
A close working relationship will be required with Factory management, despatch and other key functions to ensure the achievement of these objectives.
- QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Matric
A tertiary sales/ commercial qualification
Industry experience would be advantageous
Extensive experience required in:
• external and internal sales
• management of people
• administrative experience, which includes financial controls
• computer literacy
- Remuniration
Basic: -+R38000 p/m
Car allowance: -+ R6800 p/m
Pension @ 9% employer p/m
Medical Aid @50% p/m
Not guaranteed annual bonus at 10% of annual basic salary, payable in December each.
Possible commission based on team performance.
