African Rainbow Life

African Rainbow Life It is the things that we do over and over again that define our purpose.

These small actions are defining moments - they formulate our human stories and define our Legacy.

"We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world." - Marianne Williamson

We invite you to take time and reflect on these words as we celebrate YOU.

Stop, rest, exhale and just be kinder with yourself during these challenging times. Happy Women's Day!

Wrapping up with a 5-step guide on how to make your money work for you:

1. Have a strategy in place. Find a financial planner you like and trust. Set short- and long-term goals that are achievable.
2. Be disciplined. Don’t get emotionally involved - treat everything involving money like a business proposal.
3. Save as much as you can as early as possible. Compound interest means the earlier you save, the higher your interest.
4. Some debt (E.g. credit cards and microloans) charge interest as high as 12-29%, depending on your profile. Clear high interest debt first.
5. Women from all walks of life multitask all the time. Find ways to supplement your income and defy the odds with a side hustle.

Save this post to remind yourself of how your money could work for you.

Growing old alone is probably one of the worst fears many of us have.

Women have a 70% chance that they will be single by the age of 65 because of death or divorce. Don’t delay taking charge of your own finances.

Thanks to the 20 000 women who marched to the Union Buildings on 9 August 1956, in protest against the extension of Pass Laws for women. You gave us a voice!

Despite the odds, women from all walks of life multitask all the time as caregivers and breadwinners.
The struggle is not over.

It is incumbent upon all South Africans to fiercely protect the rights and personal safety of all our women and children. Take a stand and speak up, so that 9 August 1956 was not in vain.

"You are fantastic; do you know that? Our freedom, in a considerable measure, was due to what young people such as yourselves did 40 years ago not very far from where we lived in Soweto where Hector Pieterson was shot and killed. But you are fantastic. Reach for your stars, because now you can be anything and everything you want to be.” – Archbishop Desmond Tutu

Thank you to the youth of June 16 1976. 🇿🇦💛
