The future of flight is taking shape in Africa. But are we ready for it?

As Africa moves closer to the commercial reality of advanced air mobility, the conversation is shifting from what is possible to what needs to happen to make it possible - safely, sustainably and at scale.

Next week, Kopano Tholo, Senior Drones Underwriter at iTOO Special Risks, will join industry leaders at Aviation Africa 2026 in Kenya for a panel discussion on: “Infrastructure, Regulation and the Path to Commercial Operations.”

The discussion will explore some of the critical questions facing the future of eVTOLs and air taxis across the continent; from certification and regulation to vertiport infrastructure, air traffic integration and the liability and insurance considerations that underpin commercial operations.

A morning with rugby legends 🏉 🇿🇦

Our Cape Town team had the opportunity to join an exclusive breakfast this morning with former All Blacks captain and rugby legend Richie McCaw, ahead of the highly anticipated Test match against the Springboks at Cape Town Stadium.

With 148 Test caps, 110 as captain, two Rugby World Cup victories and three World Rugby Player of the Year titles, McCaw’s record speaks for itself.

Joining him was Matthew Pearce, who brought his own wealth of rugby knowledge and insight to the morning.

We had a fantastic time at The Insurance Conference, where we were proud to come on board as a sponsor and connect with professionals from across the insurance industry. From insightful conversations to meeting new people, there was no shortage of opportunities to engage, learn, and share ideas.

Throughout the conference, discussions highlighted the important role insurance plays in supporting progress and resilience, as well as the value of working together to shape the future of our industry.

The experience didn't stop at the conference sessions. We also laced up our running shoes for RUN100, which brought people together in a different way while collecting running shoes for underprivileged athletes. Adding some energy, fun and purpose to an already memorable event.
