😭😭😭💔💔Our heartfelt condolences to the family of Nhlamulo in these trying times. May God comfort the mother who is now pleading for South Africans to assist in funeral costs. A 19-year-old man, Nhlamulo Sambo, was stabbed to death in KwaNonqaba, Mossel Bay, on Sunday. Nhlamulo Sambo’s mother, Khenzoke Patricia Sambo, and sister, Nonhlanhla Sambo, have publicly stated that he was killed because locals in the KwaNonqaba area mistook him for a foreign national. The key reason they give is that he spoke Xitsonga, a language from Limpopo, and couldn’t speak or understand fluently. During the anti-immigrant protests/riots that turned violent in Mossel Bay, starting around 29–31 May 2026, Nhlamulo was allegedly targeted. His sister said, “His only fault was being Tsonga in a Xhosa community.” The mother, in an emotional video, said, “They kill my son like a dog, saying that he’s a foreigner,” while emphasizing he was a South African from Giyani, Limpopo. Say no to xenophobia, justice for Nhlamulo. Western Cape police have launched a manhunt and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the killing. 😭😭😭😭
