Founded in 2014, the Direct Intervention Program To Empower South Africans , commonly known and registered as DIPESA (Pty) Ltd, was the vision of several entrepreneurs –These Co-Founders with countless years of Fund Managing, Business Process Management, IT, Product Branding and Direct Sales experience between them, were dissatisfied with the rapid rate at which millions of South Africans are fac
ing financial hardship and unemployment. Analysing the basic cost of living with an added and ever increasing public demand for mobile phone communication and social media in the daily lives of all South Africans including the poor and unemployed. Governments recent intervention to stop unscrupulous Cash Loan companies and loan sharks from selling mobile airtime to literally millions of Government Social Grant (SASSA)recipients (from child support to old age and disability) on credit, are indicative of just how this “commodity” had become part of our daily lives and essential household budgets. From this analysis , a business idea was born that would focus on offering services people need and use every day… services that wouldn’t require anyone to change their buying habits or purchase products they didn’t need or couldn’t afford. A business idea that would become the governing principles behind DIPESA - integrity, solid business practices, and a commitment to always putting the needs of the masses above the needs of themselves.
