Specialised Broker Services, or SBS, is the proud new name of the George and Sedgefield branches of the long-established short-term brokerage, Garden Route Insurance Brokers. Since its inception in 1983 under the name Garden Route Insurance Brokers, the company has built up an extensive national client base, and it was decided by the members operating in the George and Sedgefield offices of the br
okerage to start a new brokerage with a name more suited to reflect the fact that their service area now stret-ches far beyond the region, although their main client base remains in the Garden Route. This was also an opportunity to launch an exciting new brand to reflect the brokerage's specialised offerings. With directors Don Coetzee, Ed Mousley, Leigh Skelton and Ron Carr having close to 95 years' combined experience in the industry, they are able to offer their clients solid advice and expertise. Two more branches - in Mossel Bay and Bedford in the Eastern Cape - have also been added to the existing George and Sedgefield offices. The two brokers looking after these branches are Johann Coetzee (Mossel Bay) and Judy Hunter (Bedford). They are also planning to open a branch in Johannesburg early in the new year. SBS's product range comprises insurance for all personal, commercial farming and specialised needs. The company has its own specialised products developed for the adventure activity market (Advensure), game farm industry (Kgopolo) as well as the hospitality sector (Lodgesure) and has schemes in place for numerous estates in and around the Garden Route such as Fancourt Homeowners, Thesen Island, Pezula and Oubaai.
