Today marks yet another heartbreaking moment as the bodies of the six children who tragically perished in the DCN bus disaster are now ready to be repatriated to Zimbabwe for burial. This has been an incredibly painful and challenging period for the affected families. Some of the parents of these children were buried last month, and the repatriation of the children was delayed due to the necessary DNA identification processes.

The families now face the difficult task of gathering once again to lay their innocent children to rest. Despite the immense pain, we extend our deepest gratitude to Zororo Phumulani, Doves Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe Consulate in Johannesburg, the Civil Protection Unit, and the Government of Zimbabwe for their unwavering support to these families during this tragic time.
