JSE All Shares currently trading at R133 per share, ultimately it should head back to it's all time highs of R207 per share, atleast within this decade as lot of improvements are currently happening in South Africa.

I had a lot of clients asking me about my thoughts on Crude Oil (USOIL), therefore I'm posting my analysis for those who'd like to see my perspective.

First of all, please understand that I'm not licensed to give financial advise on the energy/commodity markets, so this is purely for educational content and my opinion, trading and investing carries extreme risk, where you could lose some or even all your invested capital.

Here's my thesis for being bullish on Crude:

Fundamental catalyst:

So recently over the weekend, a war is starting to break out between US and Iran, if there's heavy exculation in this tension, it could drive further demand for oil.

Positional catalyst:

Based off data from the CFTC's website, institutions (banks and hedgefunds) are currently positioned in a 2:1 long to short ratio on the futures market of Crude, meaning they are favoring an upside/bullish movement on oil.

Technical catalyst:

Oil is currently trading at $67 per barrel, it recently traded into a discounted price level of $60-$57 per barrel, which also acts as a significant demand in price level. Thus the risk to reward for buyers are favored being able to be positioned at these discounted prices compared to past prices of oil, a move to the highs of 2022 which was $130 per barrel, is still almost a 100% gain from current prices.
This is a medium term perspective so it could take some time to get to those high prices, but I do expect oil to reach those highs within the next 2 years.
The invalidation from a technical perspective for me would be a monthly candle close below $57 per barrel.

I would like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to every single client of mine.

Today was one of those days where it felt necessary to take a step back and reflect on how much we’ve all grown in such a short period of time.

While we may not speak every week or even every month, I still log in to my CRM system daily or weekly and take the time to look at each of your portfolios individually, and I can honestly say, I’m proud of you!

Biggest regrets of people over the age of 50:

Throughout my career, and even recently, I’ve had many conversations with people in this age group. When I ask them about their three biggest regrets in life, these are the ones that come up most often:

1.) Not taking enough risks in life. Whether it was leaving their hometown, starting a business, or changing careers, fear often held them back. Looking back, they wish they had been bolder.

2.) Not starting early enough to save for retirement. Many believed 25 or 30 was “too young” to begin, yet those early years make all the difference. It’s one of the key reasons why only 8% of South Africans are able to retire comfortably.

3.) Not traveling enough. Too many waited for “the right time,” only to realize later that time and health aren’t guaranteed.

My take from this: if you’re young and reading this, whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right. The ball is in your hands to avoid these regrets. To achieve greatness and reach your goals, you’ll have to do something differently from the rest.
