Small commutation of Retirement Annuities has increased from R7 000 to R15 000..

South Africans younger than age 55 with a paid-up (no contributions) RA value of less than R15 000 will be able to cash in the entire Retirement Annuity effective 1 March 2021.

It’s a great honour and privilege to have a BKA Wealth Director, Petri Beyers as a nominated candidate for the 2021 FPI Board of Directors position!

His ultimate goal is to serve his fellow designation holders, industry colleagues and most importantly, the client, by professionalising our industry with the utmost determination and sheer grit.

We live in a world where disintermediation and self-service planning technology could be seen as a threat to our profession and as deputies of the industry, we need to protect our position as professionals in society. We should do that by acting selfless and sincerely empathetic in dealing with clients AND NON CLIENTS, upskill ourselves, forward looking at every turn, use tech to our advantage, move away from the insurer-driven sales models and benchmark ourselves against other sister-designations in finance.
