FREE ELECTRICAL TRAINING
The present Electrical Training System in South Africa has lost its Value and has continuously failed the youth of today.
It has always been a pre-condition, that for anyone to attempt the Electrical Trade Test they had to be Proficient at the level of N2.
The present system is producing Trade Tested Artisans who do not understand the basic Fundamentals of Electrical subject.
These Artisans can perform all the relevant Test related to any Trade Tests Tasks, but very few carry Knowledge or Understanding of why they are performing these "Tasks".
Take for example, they can conduct all the Tests on a 3 Phase Motor, but with no understanding of why they are performing these Tests. (Tricks)
Many do not even know the difference between an Isolator, Circuit Breaker or even the role of an Earth Leakage Device.
Many are also unable to determine, what size Circuit Breaker should be utilized in an Electrical installation.
Many can perform many Clever Calculations for Load Balancing, yet having no clue of why these Loads needs to be balanced, or even the potential faults it could cause, or even the ability on how to correct these faults
Many can rattle off the Laws of Electricity (Ohms and Kirchhoff law), with Text Book quality, without understanding any word of it.
Many do not understand the difference between Volts, Amps and Resistance.
This is why the majority of these poorly trained Artisans struggle to find Meaningful Employment because they are unable 'Fault Find' on Electrical Equipment.
