Many of us have heard about the "hot and cold " treatment after an intense workout or participation in a sporting event.
How does it work?
It is all about the constriction and dilation of blood vessels.
The desensitisation of nerve endings looking for pain relief.
The delivery of much required oxygen and nutrients through increased bloodflow.
Getting rid of buildup eg. lactic acid and other "waste" .
Like any body recovery therapy, after a sporting event, make sure there are no underlying circulatory issues or other medica conditions that could be impacted by the alternating of hot and cold.
And like most therapies, it's accompanied by other requirements to assist with faster healing such as eating correctly, hydrating sufficiently AND enough downtime followed by light activities without straining the muscles .
To discuss YOUR needs, requires a honest discussion and suggestion as to what may work is NOT generic. Thus making sure to share any medical disabilities is a MUST.
Strictly by appointment.
The word "perfect" - in essence , doe not exist.
Rather subjective than absolute...and therefore, I always aim for and, speak about the optimal realization at any point and time.
Making things achievable rather than a pipe dream.
A small reminder of the following :-
"...accept your present without resistance, believe fiercely in your worth, set an achievable goal and embrace THAT journey with active effort."
It is about putting yourself in the optimal mental state to build the life YOU want.
Be careful of runaway aspirations. Losing yourself in daydreaming, traits energy sapping , playing to a fickle "all knowing" society , bending your core principles to suit the masses.
There is a thing such as the authentic self. May not suit the public at large but, remember....YOU have to live with YOURSELF .
And when one asks why would that make any difference in one's life.
Lets address one important aspect in ones life...even the most intimate bedroom affairs are affected by mind and body wellness or, lack thereof.
Looking fwd to healthy discussions and working toward optimum physical wellness as well as embodying the desired outcome through a mindset mindful.
Strictly by appointment.
You know when you go for a sport massage or massage therapy because your body feels a little off and the aches and pains are just too much and now a bother.
When you are asked what is it that has you looking for and, where do you feel the pull, the pain.
Then the ask to touch your toes , different stretches and a sort of prodding follows.
Question time too.
Dont get annoyed. All necessary to undertsand what is actually happening and which muscles may need attention.
Especially if there may be an injury or post operation care needed.
Then there are those times you wish and, ask for harder deeper massaging...well, going harder and deeper into the flesh may feel as if your pain is being addressed but, the truth being bruising the muscles shall happen and that is not the purpose.
The pressure and depth is dictated from person to person and requirement.
Breathing is another important aspect when going for therapy. One i address when in my session.
A therapy massage is like doing exercise. The body requires oxygen in abundance when the muscles are engaged...even in a massage. The optimum feed of oxygen. NO holding of breathe.
And as to relaxing and allowing those muscles to be lose, another one ...the tighter you pull your muscles , the greater the resistance against my hands.
Yes.
Trust must be earned . Trust that I KNOW what I am doing.
And thus, confidently to say...
You shall gauge that in the first seconds of our meet.
I look fwd to attending to your Mind and Body Wellness needs.
A massage i know very few are able to match.
Strictly by appointment.
Hormones and pheromones. Their interaction with each other and, influence on how we might react, interact.
Its like a constant loop.
Pheromones released (external) by a person , detected by another person, leading to a hormonal ( internal) shift.
And then we have hormones ( internal) influencing the production and strength of pheromones (external) released.
Eg. High levels of stress and fatigue.
For ladies, during ovulation , menstruation cycle.
So.
How does one manage healthy levels of hormones and pheromones which seem to play a HUGE role, impacting on various levels in ones life.
And so it takes us back full circle to Mind and Body Wellness.
Simple daily routines we take foregranted.
Eating habits.
Sleeping habits.
Activity and exercising habits.
Knowing to manage stress levels.
Chemical bodily balance through addressing aspects in ones life that are definitely worth changing as opposed to pill popping .
Let's talk about the changes that can take place in YOUR life.
Lets start with an air of conviction, positivity and smile most broadly with the knowledge things shall change for the better!
I look fwd to addressing those physical niggles as well as hearing what we can do to make things that much lighter in your personal space.
Strictly by appointment.
The impact of unresolved issues and pent-up frustrations should not be minimised..
It affects both mental and physical wellbeing leading to possible depression, a weakening of the immune system and even to chronic medical issues such as cardiovascular problems and a nervous system impaired.
A lifestyle forced upon one by a fast paced , ever changing modern world and demanding society, makes it no easier to address.
BUT to address, is a MUST.
From impacting on relationships , possible breakdowns and isolation , stress and fatigue , insomnia and emotional.outbursts, disproportionat anxiety disorder...how can one help oneself?
Always but always , mindfulness practiced. Recognizing the triggers.
Communication without laying blame on another but, clearly expressing ones needs.
And being truthful with self.
To seek professional help from a therapist or counselor is not a weakness. If anything , for many, a safe place to offload ones deepest issues without concern of judgement , an objective environment pinpointing solutions specific to YOU and NOT a generlised set of pointers.
Let's talk and pinpoint that which may be holding YOU back.
Let's get down to the nitty gritty you may be unsure about and need clarification as to what next.
Strictly by appointment.
Mindfulness practiced toward self results in an attitude non judgemental and compassionate.
An authenticity when connecting with others and the ripple effect of healthier relationships which impact on your own longevity.
The desensitisation nutured by a fast paced life and a society groomed by social.media sites eroding humanness, humaneness...the fear of seeming to be weak, going against common morality, integrity and values , rocking the very foundation of what makes a society progressive and caring to nuture growth and stability.
It is NOT about perfection or a state of being without mistakes and faults.
It IS about IQ and EQ , relevancy and the ability to realise your own shortcomings, pitfalls before pointing to others who too, are no different to YOU.
Of course it takes courage to sit with self and truly acknowledge the worst in self...the best in you is always easy to acknowledge.
BUT.
The power gained in acknowledging your weaknesses is one where strength becomes YOURS no matter the challenge and be a solutionist in your OWN life , matters.
The ripple effect will be astounding and far reaching.
Let's talk about regaining that strength and change that which has kept you immobalised
Strictly by appointment
Why do dormant muscles develop, making other muscles overcompensate resulting in pain and aches and debilitating niggles.
Again, what one may not realise, is the importance of the interaction between mind and body.
The simple changes that one can make such as addressing prolonged periods of sitting, a bad posture...just to name some.
And when it comes to aging an even greater reduction when it comes to nerve to muscle " communication".
From exercises that activate certain muscles, to stretches engaging dormant muscles....always to ensure to start off slow and relevant to YOUR capability and need...I look fwd to assisting you in strengthening your muscles, firstly by identifying the problem and then working those areas aiming for greater strength and flexibility.
Strictly by appointment
