Are you a CA(SA) with deep experience in non-life insurance? 💼
We’re looking for the following:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the non-life insurance industry, with exposure at senior management / executive management level.
- Demonstrated strong financial reporting capability, including the ability to deliver accurate, insightful and timely reporting at Group, executive and Board level.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of IFRS 17 and its practical application within an non-life insurance environment.
- Strong understanding of the SAM regulatory framework, including SAM returns and broader prudential / regulatory reporting requirements.
- Proven experience in the development and oversight of budgets, forecasts and business plans.
- Extensive experience managing and coordinating external audit processes.
- Solid understanding of key actuarial and insurance finance elements, including technical reserving, ORSA, and broader capital / risk considerations.
- Strong focus on maintaining a robust financial control environment, including governance, internal controls and compliance oversight.
- Demonstrated capability in expense management and driving cost discipline across the business.
- Performance-driven with a strong commercial mindset and the ability to support delivery against strategic business objectives.
- Strategy-oriented, with the ability to contribute meaningfully to broader business planning, ex*****on and long-term value creation.
- Strong leadership capability, with proven experience leading high-performing finance teams.
- Highly developed analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Unquestionable integrity, sound judgement and a strong commitment to governance and ethical leadership.
- Proven experience in Board reporting, including quarterly CFO / financial reporting and the ability to present complex financial matters clearly and confidently to Board and Committee structures.
- Strong team leadership, as well as effective project management and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
