Have you heard of a porch goose?

A porch goose is a trend currently going around where you take a large goose statue and place it on your porch. Then you dress it up for holidays.

Well I really wanted one

But we all know you can't leave anything outside in South Africa for fear of it being stolen, so a quick Google search led me to the ....desk goose!

And I fell in love. ❤️

Meet Grandma Goose 🪿

She's 17cm tall and now lives on my bedside table.

I had so much fun choosing her outfit, finding some miniture decor for her theme and see her becoming a new tradition in many of our holidays.

( I purchased all from Temu South Africa 🇿🇦 as I couldn't find a South African supplier)

These Halloween themed building block kits are not made by Lego but are compatible ( and a little more gentle on the pockets)

We ordered through Temu South Africa 🇿🇦

They have a huge variety of decent quality and assorted themed building block sets.

Its been a minute since I last finished a cross stitch.

I found the cutest bunny counted cross stitch kits on Temu South Africa 🇿🇦 for R28 each on sale and decided to complete the set.

They arrived yesterday and I couldn't wait to get started. 🪡

Cape Town offers the biggest most diverse options for kids to have new adventures and make memories.

Our favourite is Two Oceans Aquarium and an annual membership is the best way to explore all our amazing Aquarium has to offer.

From stunning tanks, touch pools and Jelly exhibit to puppet shows, daily crafts and behind the scene experiences there is a multitude to keep the kids busy and entertained whilst learning more about our oceans.

Also

Two Oceans Aquarium gives you a free ticket to visit the aquarium on your birthday.

Just some FYI

Your ticket is valid for the entire day so you can visit, go out and come back. ( I didn't know this until a few months ago- I honestly thought you visited and when you were finished and walked out the doors, that was it)

Annual membership is really the same as a little less than 3 visits so it's worth buying a membership ( says the mom who still needs to buy hers this year)

Ticket prices, if bought at the aquarium after 3pm are discounted.

Kids under 3 visit free.

Bluey and Bingo are bringing the fun to Cradlestone Mall

Wackadoo! Bluey is back – and this time, she’s bringing her little sister, Bingo! Cradlestone Mall is getting ready for a special family day out as everyone’s favourite blue heeler sisters, Bluey and Bingo, head to the mall on Saturday, 24 October.

Following the wonderful response to last year’s Bluey Meet & Greet, Cradlestone is turning up the fun with both Bluey and Bingo joining the celebrations this year. Families can meet the much-loved sisters, share a bit of Bluey magic and snap those all-important photos together.

The Bluey and Bingo Meet & Greet takes place from 12pm to 3pm at the Woolworths Lower Level, with free entry for all.
