Living Faith Project

Living Faith Project LFP is an initiative dedicated to educating Muslim youth about the timelessness of Faith The Living Faith Project was born in response to these challenges.

Muslim youth in Western Societies face an increasing number of challenges. Amongst them are the difficulty of reconciling secular worldviews with their Islamic perspective, having to forge Islamic values in a growing global culture of materialism and having to negotiate a Muslim identity when their knowledge of Islam is fragmented and superficial. This leaves young Muslims confused and disconnecte

d from their Muslim identity. It is a movement which seeks to revive faith in the hearts and minds of young Muslims by equipping them with a deeper understanding of the Islamic Paradigm. Our well-structured programmes are intended to:

- Renew an authentic understanding of Faith and its relevance in our contemporary context through educational workshops and discussion forums
- Facilitate spiritual development and character refinement through spiritual training, lectures and workshops
- Cultivate the bonds of friendship and love amongst young people through team-building activities and sports
- Encourage a meaningful engagement with nature

The camp is an Islamic youth camp, aimed at those in high-school, and will be taking place from 8- 10 December 2017 at the Big Oak Karmel Campsite in the Franschhoek Pass.
The cost is R550 and includes EVERYTHING - Transport, food, accommodation, a jam-packed interactive program, activities & some goodies 😁

Alhamdulillah, this year's camp was amazing in so many ways! The setting was stunning, and reminded us - with every breath of fresh sea breeze - of our Creator, and why we were there. By the grace of the Almighty, we had a camp that challenged us continuously -physically, spiritually and emotionally - but we rose to each challenge and grew closer through them, bi idhnillah.

May Allah bless and reward our sponsors, including Awqaf SA for their generous contributions and allowing this camp to be as successful as it was.

Meet the dynamic Ibtisaam Ahmed.

Ibtisaam Ahmed graduated from UCT with an LLB in 2015. She is currently teaching and researching in the Department of Private Law at UCT. Ibtisaam is also a lecturer at the Lady Aisha College where she combines her love of history and literature with her passion for educating and motivating young women.

We are delighted to be hosting Ibtisaam as a speaker and a mentor at the next Living Faith Camp (30th September -2 October) which is just under 2 weeks away. We can't wait for her to share her insights with us! Register now at livingfaithproject.org
