⚖️ Long vs short, explained.

Going long means you expect the price to rise; going short means you're positioned for it to fall. Long = buy first, sell later. Short = sell first, buy back later. Either way, the market can move against you — which is exactly why a stop-loss matters.

🕯️ How to read a candlestick.

One candle packs in four numbers: the open, the close, and the high and low in between. The body is the open-to-close range; the thin wicks are the extremes. Usually green means it closed up, red means down. Learn this and a chart starts to talk.

A "pip" is the smallest move a price makes — on most pairs, that's the 4th decimal. 1.1000 → 1.1001 = one pip. That's the whole thing. 📌 Save it.

Two prices, always: the bid (what you sell at) and the ask (what you buy at). The gap between them is the spread — a cost baked into every trade.

So the price has to move in your favour by at least the spread just to break even. And it's never fixed — it moves with the pair, liquidity and volatility.
