Let us never forget that the 21st of March is a public holiday in South Africa because it is Human Rights Day. A day where we can honour, remember and commemorate the Sharpevile Massacre of 1960; when 7000 Africans came together to peacefully protest against pass laws and were brutally met with bullets.
Hundreds of people (including children) were injured and at least 69 people were killed. May we never forget all the courageous individuals that fought for their human rights and the rights of generations to come.
