ABSIP UWC, in collaboration with Standard Bank and the Young Investors Programme, invites you to attend an in-person information and demonstration session for the Trading and Stock Pitching Challenges.

Following the recent online session, this session offers an opportunity to engage directly with Standard Bank representatives, gain insight into trading and stock pitching and learn how to participate in these challenges, including the Market Minds initiative.

Participants will develop practical skills in portfolio construction, trading strategy and technical analysis, with top performers gaining exposure to exciting opportunities. Furthermore, these challenges offer a possibility to be filtered into the Standard Bank CIB graduate pipeline.

What a start to the Investment Club!

A huge thank you to our guest speaker, Ralph Speirs, for an incredibly insightful session at our Investment Club opening event. Great turnout from our members, but even better conversation.

Mr. Speirs took us through an introduction to the JSE and what it offers, how to choose industries, and what to consider when picking a stock, as well as highlighted common beginner mistakes to avoid. He introduced the JSE Investment Challenge for university students, and shared practical tools and platforms for researching JSE stocks.

Valuable takeaways all around. This is just the beginning. Let's grow. 📈
