Our roots trace back to 1930, when the New India Assurance Company established a branch in Natal. But our true legacy began in 1971, when a group of forward-thinking Black businessmen took ownership, formally opening our doors as the New India Assurance Company of South Africa in 1972.

As South Africa transitioned to democracy, so did we. In 1990, we became New National Assurance Company (NNAC)—a name that reflected the changing nation and our role in shaping an inclusive economic future.
