Economic and Social Studies (Socio-economic Studies)
Economic and Social Studies (Socio-economic Studies) at number of Yemeni districts at field levels e.g. (Sharab Asalam, Sharab AlRona, Atazia , Madhekhra – Bani Ali ) – the study was done Al-Salam Institution for Social Development (2002-2003 )
- Socio-economic Study for six sub-districts in Hubaysh district - Ibb governorate – for Alkudds Agricultural cooperative association - Hubaysh. (August 2005).
- Participating with the country Social team in studying the social and economic situation in the region of Alhaimah sub-district in Taiz Governorate and Haber at Dee AlSofal district in Ibb governorate. During 1999-2001.
- Studies done for the Rural Development project and the Office of the southern highlands of Agriculture and Irrigation in Taiz. The studies was a prior to the implementation of irrigation schemes, water irrigations and water harvesting infrastructures.
- preparation of economic and social studies of areas targeted in the dirking water projects Taiz, Ibb and Albaydah governorates, the implementation period intermittently over the period 1998-2003.
- The implementation of economic and social study for a visibility of the position of the proposed project Botanical Garden Project in Taiz. For the local council of Taiz governorate. ( 2002)
- Implementation of a number of studies for small investment projects. For organization such as the Social Fund for Development and the Agricultural and cooperative Fund .
Baseline surveys, project Monitoring and evaluation
The firm has implemented different surveys (social, environmental, economic, agricultural, … etc.) either through its consultants or in partnership with others.
- Agricultural survey for farms in the valley AlBaydah , and beneficiaries of the Marib water dam. (1995), the study was done for the ERADA.
- Baseline survey and identifying needs for the work of the Executive Unit of Taiz / Ibb –TWSPP - (2002).
- Implementation of the environmental plants survey in Taiz (first phase),( 2001, 2007 -2008) The beneficiary of this study is the local council in Taiz governorate.
- In Partnership with the International Firm TechniPlan the firm has done the baseline survey's for the interventions of developed projects in order to identify indicators for monitoring and evaluation activities in 15 governorates and for around 16 kind of infrastructure activities. We trained the field staff, done the data collection, data processing and data analyses.
- Implementing the poor household survey for local associations (2003 & 2005). Three sub-districts in Ibb and the same in Taiz.
- Implementing different surveys and social and environmental studies such as SAR, MTR, ICR, for different national and international organization such as some of the projects funded by the International Development Association or the International Monetary Fund, such as the General Authority for the development of the eastern regions (Mareb / AlJawf), rural development project in the highlands of South Project Land and Water Conservation Project, Taiz Water Supply Pilot Project.
- implementation of a number of surveys for determining the training needs of different classes of society, as well as participate in the surveys of the assessment rapid rural to participate.
- Training need assessment for different social levels at the Yemeni rural communities and participating in the fast participatory rural appraisal
- Implementation of the pre-survey study to set up some irrigation projects such as protection of land and soil in Amran governorate (Alother, Maswar district). The studies were for the Public Works Project - December 2007.
Feasibility Studies:
Many feasibility studies for projects have been implemented by our firm and /or its consultants, some of which can be listed in the following:
- Economic feasibility and social development of small projects such as income-generating projects funded project to encourage and support rural production to promote agricultural production and fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation and the rural development project in the southern highlands
- Botanical Garden project Taiz. 2007/2008 for the local council in Taiz governorate.
- A number of investment projects for some non-governmental social organizations (associations and social institutions) such as Alsalam, Abna Sharab Alrona association during the period 2002-2006.
- Water Drink Supply Schemes (8 Schemes in the governorate of Taiz, 6 schemes in Ibb, and one scheme in AlBayda). 1998-2001
- Number of agricultural water facilities (water barriers in each of Taiz and Ibb) from 1998 to 2001
Technical Studies
The firm has implemented number of technical studies in areas that can be summarized in the following :
- Irrigation improvement schemes.
- Localized and conveyance irrigation systems.
- Irrigation canals improvement,
- Wadi bank protection,
- Water harvesting Tanks.
- Administrative capacity buildings, civil works and architectural design of other residential cities.
- Drinking water projects (pumping chambers, main lines, distribution networks)
Rural roads
- Construction works (schools, health centers, guidance centers, administrative buildings)
- Preparing Operation Manual

Development Training and capacity building:
The firm and its consultants have experiences preparation and implementation of a large number of training programs by consultants of the firm. The most important of these training programs include: -
- Maintenance and operation of drinking water projects -, funding agencies for the implementation of these training programs (Social Fund for Development, TWSPP, and AlMahrah Local Community Project)
Preparation and implementation of the training program in the use of Microsoft Project , the program planning, management and M&E, , training program in the field survey of poor families, training program in the field of design, web development, software of Microsoft Management Project ,the use of program COSTAB used in the economic and financial analysis of projects funded by the World Bank and international development funds, training programs in areas of In-design, Photoshop, use of Oracle, Access, web design, Farmod, Cropwat, Costab, Excel, SPSS…etc.
