In May 2011 we visited the Saudi German Hospital for the first time. In April 2012 I made a risk survey report (and this picture as well) and as per June 2013 we will insure the property and business interruption risks of this hospital.

One of our clients is interested in life & accident insurance or workmen's compensation, including cover for war & terrorism. A company in UK is interested in providing this cover, but only if (much) more organizations in Yemen are willing to buy this. Suggestions about organizations/companies who might be interested are more than welcome.

We received the following feed back from:

Tawfik Alnehmi, Managing Director Apollo Travel (incl Emirates Airlines agency, Bin Saif Trading and http://cheaperskies.com/)

We were looking for medical insurance for our staff and their families. We were not happy with the offers from local companies. RRC listened to our needs and found an international company, which covers big hospitalization claims. Because they don’t cover small claims it’s very reasonably priced and we can even decide ourselves if we want to go for treatment outside Yemen.

Compare hotel & flight prices, www.cheaperskies.com searches the major hotel and flight websites to help you find cheap flights and hotel deals at the best prices.

We received the following feed back from Maher A. Nasser, General Manager at http://mmlogisticsyemen.com/:
We discussed with RRC our risks and they analyzed all our policies. We learned new things whilst discussing these topics. Finally we realized we were buying some covers which we didn’t need. By restructuring the policies and negotiating with several companies, RRC managed to insure all our relevant risks with a reliable insurance company and save money at the same time.

We received the following feedback from G. Raj Kumar, chief accountant, http://shebahotel.com/

“We were happy with our current insurer, so we didn’t need alternative quotations from RRC. But we used Bou’s knowledge and experience by hiring him on a consultancy basis to analyze all insurance policies. He pointed out some double covers, mistakes and unclear wordings. He also suggested some additional clauses. By changing these items we saved money and reduced the chance of a dispute with the insurer in case of a claim”

The insurance market in Yemen increased with 5% in 2011. The market loss ratio from 66% to 99%. What could be the reason? Should we worry about companies with very high loss ratio's? For all details have a look athttp://www.uicyemen.com/pic/market/Market2011.pdf
