Q: Why use a Mortgage Broker? A: Buying a home is the biggest purchase most people will make throughout their entire life. Educated consumers will shop around before making any purchase. Make this process simple and EASY by letting me do all the legwork for you. It is my job as a Mortgage Broker to find you the best available mortgage product suited for your needs. Q: Can't I just go to my bank and get a mortgage? Surely they'll give me the best rate as I've been with them for years! A: Not always true! Most banks only have a few mortgage products to choose from. Being a Mortgage Broker, I work with many different lenders. This gives me the ability to shop around and find you the best available rate. Q: How do Mortgage Brokers get paid? Do they charge their client? Mortgage Brokers get paid by the lenders. In some rare occasions there will be a fee involved (for example, those with poor credit). If there is a fee involved I will disclose this up front, so you can decide if you want to proceed with the application. The rate that Mortgage Brokers are paid is by the size of the mortgage, NOT the interest rate, thus my clients get the ease of mind of knowing that I am indeed finding them the best rate possible.
