I hope you guys saw my previous post on NVDA a few days again because this paid a bit for me and hope it did for you guys too. Targeted 124-126 and we hit that a couple days later. Still looking for that 130 sometime in the next week but I'm going lighter this time.

Update

Trade plan: Looking at getting calls if we backtest the 116-114 range tomorrow. Will be more bullish if 114 is tapped & defended. This is a possible breakout in the making for 126, 130 if 119.6 clears tomorrow.

There are several reasons why most traders fail. Some of the main reasons include:

Lack of a trading plan: Many traders enter the market without a clear strategy or plan, which can lead to impulsive decisions and poor risk management.

Over-leveraging: Many traders use too much leverage, which can amplify losses and lead to margin calls in hopes of hitting it big.

Emotional trading: Trading based on emotions, such as fear or greed, can lead to poor decision making and can cause traders to hold on to losing positions for too long or exit winning positions too early. HOPING IS NOT A STRATEGY.

Lack of discipline: Trading requires discipline and sticking to their plan, but most lack the discipline to follow through with their strategies & go off without the plan which lead to bad habits.

Lack of knowledge and education: Trading is a complex process, and without a proper understanding of the markets and trading techniques, traders are more likely to make costly mistakes which lead to blown up accounts. DO NOT TRADE IF YOU DO NOT KNOW SOMETHING.

Lack of patience: Many traders try to make quick returns and don't have the patience to wait for the right opportunities to come to them. LET SETUPS COME TO YOU.

Not having a proper risk management strategy: Most traders don't have a risk management strategy in place and it can lead to losing their capital quickly. Set a reasonable amount of capital into each trade.

Not staying up to date on market conditions: Many traders fail to keep up with the fast-paced market conditions and don't adapt their strategies quick enough. Change your strategy consistently.

Get this every single day and never got a chance to give a full answer.

Q: Why don’t I ever play Weeklies as much?
A: I play volatile names. I like to be safer with a bit less rewarding play. Anything can happen in the ticker/market. On volatile names, a choppy move, or wrong way can BURN your premium very quickly. Always stick to the safer bet.
—————-

Here’s some examples

1. Share price goes up, then drops back to where we started, then back up again at first. Your premium will be LOWER than what it was at #1, why? Because of theta. Your premium is cut due to volatility and time. The closer you are to exp date, the faster your premium fades.

2. If you’re playing a weekly on a Monday-Wednesday, you won’t see as much theta burn than as Thursday/Friday.

3. Playing a 2+ week out exp will put you in a much safer risk due to timing to exp and less decay.

Had event today, sold off and went from R to G by the bell quickly. We're now back above the 20MA and right on level needed to hold. If we can open over 125.91, look for this to RUN towards 127.89 next and see if we can clear that for 131.15. I'm long AAPL here. Squeeze is setting up.
