There’s something special about meeting the people behind local businesses — the stories, the ideas, the spark that drives them forward. Last Thursday at the Monterey Bay Business Expo, we had the chance to do just that.

The , , and Building Business Back programs came together to share no-cost business resources and connect with entrepreneurs across the Monterey Bay region. Every conversation reminded us why we do what we do — helping small businesses start, grow, and thrive.

A big thank-you to the Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce for hosting such a dynamic and well-organized event!

Today’s “The Money Map” workshop at Hartnell College’s Soledad Education Center brought together local entrepreneurs, dreamers, and doers — all eager to learn how to fund their next big idea. 💡

We kicked off the morning with a powerful Spanish-language session, followed by a full English workshop, both filled with inspiring conversations and practical insights on how to navigate grants, loans, and business funding opportunities.

Shoutout to Lourdes Uranday, MBA-HRM, SBDC Business Advisor, for leading today’s session and sharing her expertise on how local businesses can unlock funding to grow and thrive. Your energy and depth of experience made “The Money Map” a true success!

We’re deeply grateful to our partners at the City of Soledad for their steadfast collaboration and for joining us today to highlight the CDBG Business Assistance Loan Program — offering low-interest loans designed to fuel business growth and create jobs right here in Soledad.
